Michael Phillip Roach is a successful businessman and an American teacher of Tibetan Buddhism who received a Geshe degree from a Tibetan monastery.
In the early 1980s, Roach's mentor, Khen Rinpoche, assigned Roach to develop a business in Manhattan to help refugees from Tibet with the proceeds. Michael became one of the founders of the diamond Corporation, created a number of educational and charitable organizations, wrote books on ethical business and translated Tibetan Buddhist teachings into English.
